GuestMr Ray Spann,

In my Country of origin the sandpaper game was always a part of any table tennis club. In fact it is considered the money players preferred equipment choice since as mentioned in this site it nullifys all the variables that the rubber sponge or hardbat bring to the game. Please look up "Liha table tennis" on youtube and you will see what I am referring to.

Guestalso some friends of mine recently presented to the ITTF a thesis on the benefits of the sandpaper game. Their objective is to get the ITTF to officially recognize the sandpaper game as a variant of modern day table tennis

We are very aware of the great game of Liha in the Phillipines. The videos are nothing short of amazing with excellent play exhibited. We are hopeful that the USATT will see the value of adding Sandpaper Table Tennis as an affiliated style of play, similar to the hard bat affiliation. By broadening the base of support, we broaden the interest and growth of our great sport all around the world. We wish you the best with your efforts with the ITTF.
