Hey, I've always practiced with a Sandpaper paddle. I've started playing table tennis more seriously recently, and I'm curious how difficult it is to switch to a rubber paddle for tournaments that don't allow it, since I suspect most won't.
Is it possible to learn both styles without one interfering too much with the other? Does learning with Sandpaper initially present a handicap, since I'm used to my bat canceling much of the opponent's spin?
Also, what would be a good type of rubber paddle to use that might complement a sandpaper playstyle?
