FLORIDA ORANGE BLOSSOM SERIES POINT CALCULATION SYSTEM
SERIES POINT COMPONENT CHART Participants in each class earn Series Points directly related to their finish placement within their class.* 1st Place 120 points 2nd Place 110 points 3rd Place 100 points 4th Place 90 points 5th Place 80 points 6th Place 70 points 7th Place 60 points 8th Place 50 points 9th Place 40 points 10th Place 30 points 11th Place 20 points
Series points for each participant are totaled and accumulate during the series. Series prizes and awards are distributed based on the total number of points won during the series. The number of winners and the distribution varies according to the prizes that are available. All players are encouraged to enter as many of the series tournaments as possible. Unrated Players will receive 20 Series Points for participation. Unrated players will not alter the final finish placement within a specific class of competition as far as Series points is concerned.
*NO SERIES POINTS WILL BE AWARDED TO ANY OF THE FRIDAY NIGHT EVENTS, WHICH INCLUDE SANDPAPER, BIG BALL AND DOUBLES. IN ADDITION, ONLY USATT SANCTIONED EVENTS WILL RECEIVE SERIES POINTS DURING ANY LAKELAND TABLE TENNIS SPONSORED TOURNAMENT. EFFECTIVE AS OF JANUARY 1, 2022 AND CONTINUING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ONLY THE SIX ANNUAL FLORIDA ORANGE BLOSSOM SERIES TOURNAMENTS ARE INCLUDED IN THE SERIES POINTS SYSTEM.
*REVISION BEGINNING WITH 2023 SEASON The Sunshine State Games is added to the Series Points system as follows in all events: 1st Place=120 points 2nd Place=110 points 3rd Place= 100 points 4th Place= 90 points Players who win multiple events will be awarded the highest number of points from only one of the winning events.

Lakeland Table Tennis will sponsor 6 high quality USATT sanctioned tournaments in 2022 and will also bring back the popular Florida Orange Blossom Series with a Paddle Palace A32W Pro Robot, valued at $800.00 as the grand prize at the end of the 2022 season. In addition to the Paddle Palace Robot, $500.00 will also be awarded to the players with the most series points accumulated at the end of the 2022 season.
Woodington advises players to enter as many of the 6 sanctioned tournaments in order to gain as many Series Points as possible. The more tournaments entered, the better chance of winning the big prizes at the end of the season. Players from all over Florida and other states and countries will be in the running for the top prizes.
